Prepare
Identify the full extent of any decay by probing the wood with a sharp instrument. Cut out all badly decayed and very soft wood back to a sound base.
Apply
Always do a test area before starting any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
- Decant Cuprinol Ultimate Repair Wood Hardener into the cap
- Using a suitable brush, apply liberally to the repair area and the area immediately surrounding it
- Apply 2-3 coats, allowing each to soak in but not dry fully before the next coat is applied
- Allow to harden for at least 6 hours before applying a wood filler
- Lightly sand treated area before over-coating
Avoid contact of fluid with sensitive surfaces such as paint or plastic. Reseal can after use.
