How much is needed

A 2.5L can covers up to 12m2 with 2 coats. Coverage can vary depending on application
method and the condition and nature of the surface.

Preparing the job

Read the Health, Safety and Environmental Information on pack. Ensure timber used in ground contact has been pretreated or sold specifically for use as decking. Remove excessive dirt and soiling, large areas of algae, lichen, fungi or moss with a scraper or stiff brush suitable for use on grooved decking. Treat the surface with a fungicidal wash or cleaner designed for the job. For grey and weathered decking use Cuprinol Decking Restorer to bring
back the natural colour. Wood that has been woodstained, painted, or varnished should be stripped back to bare wood and treated as bare wood.

How to apply

Stir thoroughly before and frequently during use. Apply a minimum of two even brush coats to give a uniform finish. Allow the previous coat to soak in before applying the next, usually 2-6 hours under normal weather conditions. Please note that the type of wood and any
previous treatment will affect colour. Try a representative test area first to ensure colour is acceptable when dry. Do not apply in temperatures below 5¡C, in damp conditions or
if rain is likely before the product has dried. Avoid splashing surrounding plants, brickwork, glass, PVCu, etc. Any splashing should be cleaned up immediately (whilst still wet)
with water and household detergent. Excessive spillage on plants should be rinsed off immediately before drying. Where a strong colour change is involved, more coats may
be required. If using more than 1 pack it is advisable to mix them together in a larger container or finish in a corner before starting a new pack. This product is wax enriched to
repel water. Recoat within 2-3 days of previous coat. If a longer period elapses try a test area to ensure product is not repelled.

Drying time

2-6 hours. Drying times can vary depending on the nature of the surface and the weather
conditions.

Cleaning and storage

Remove as much stain as possible from equipment before cleaning with water.
