Cuprinol Stay New Decking is a truly invisible
matt finish that keeps decking “looking
like new". With its unique wax enriched
formulation and added UVA absorbers,
Cuprinol Stay New Decking provides ultimate
protection from the damaging effects of
sunlight, rain and other weathering for up to
3 years.
Cuprinol Stay New Decking can be used on new or restored
decking to lock in the "like new" look.
In areas of heavy traffic more regular
retreatment may be necessary.

Cuprinol Stay New Decking can be used
on new or restored decking to lock in the “like new”
look. New, pre-treated decking often has a green tint
which may take up to 3-4 months to naturally fade under
Cuprinol Stay New Decking.

A 2L tin is normally sufficient for:
18m² with 3 coats.
Absorbent or weathered wood may need more coats.

Surfaces should be clean,
dry and free from algae and mould. For best results brush
to remove dirt and debris and clean the surface with Cuprinol
Decking Cleaner. Rinse well
and allow to dry.
Bare wood: Brush to remove dust and debris. Clean off
any dirt, mould or algae using Cuprinol
Decking Cleaner.
Rinse off with water and allow to dry before applying
Cuprinol Stay New Decking.
Pre-sealed wood: Decking previously treated with
Cuprinol Decking Oil, Decking
Seal or similar penetrating
treatments should be allowed to weather for at least 3
months before applying Cuprinol Stay New Decking.
Before application clean surfaces as for bare wood.
Weathered wood: Use Cuprinol
Decking Restorer to bring
back the natural colour of the wood following on-pack
instructions for this product.
Painted or varnished wood: Sand off or chemically
strip existing coatings then treat as new bare wood.

Stir well before and occasionally during
use. Using a synthetic bristle brush, apply 2-3 coats
(3 coats are recommended for best results and up to 3
years performance.) Do not apply in direct sunlight, in
temperatures below 5°C, in damp conditions or if rain is
likely before the product has dried.

Cuprinol Stay New Decking will normally
be touch dry in 1-2 hours in good drying conditions.
When applying subsequent coats allow to dry for a
minimum of 4-6 hours before recoating. If damp
conditions should occur before completely dry, water
marking may temporarily occur. This is quite normal and
should be allowed to dry up naturally.

Reseal can after use. Clean up
any spills immediately with water and household
detergent while still wet. After use remove as much
product as possible from brushes before cleaning with
water. Do not store or use in extremes of temperature
and protect from frost.
