Cuprinol

Usage guide

Now there's no faster or easier way to colour and protect your fence. With Cuprinol Sprayable Fence Treatment, you can treat each panel in less than 4 minutes, a fraction of the time it would normally take with a brush.

Cuprinol Sprayable Fence Treatment has been specially developed for use with the Cuprinol Fence Sprayer and the Cuprinol Power Sprayer. Breakthrough technology allows you to spray accurately and evenly with minimal effort to achieve a professional finish in just one coat. The sprayer allows you to reach all awkward spaces without the need for a brush. Sprayable Fence Treatment is quick drying, pleasant to use and is safe for use near plants and pets and when you've finished simply flush the sprayer through with water.

Where to use

Sprayable Fence Treatment is ideal for use on rough sawn fence panels. It is also suitable for use on other rough sawn garden wood such as sheds and pergolas. It may be applied to wood that has been previously treated, or treated with Creosote provided it has been allowed to weather. Sprayable Fence Treatment is not recommended for use on smooth or planed wood, decking or garden furniture.

How much is needed

The 5L pack is normally sufficient for: 19m² or 5 (6'x6') fence panel sides with 1 coat.

How to apply

SHAKE PACK THOROUGHLY before opening. Assemble the Cuprinol Fence Sprayer or Cuprinol Power Sprayer by referring to the user guide provided. Pour the contents of the pack into the sprayer and follow the user guide for full instructions before you start. For best results stand with the sprayer nozzle approximately 30cm (12") from the fence panel and spray one panel at a time. Start by spraying the edges and any vertical struts before spraying the centre of the fence panel. Using a slow, sweeping motion, spray horizontally across the panel, turning at the end and overlapping approximately half of the previous pass each time. This should ensure that you achieve an even finish. If using the Cuprinol Fence Sprayer it should be re-pressurised when the spray pattern "tails off".

Drying time

Sprayable Fence Treatment will be touch dry in 2-6 hours under normal weather conditions. One coat is normally sufficient but where a second coat is required (to achieve a deeper colour), ensure that the first coat is fully dry before applying.

Cleaning and storage

When finished any unused product can be returned to the pack and stored for future use. It is important to note that before opening the Cuprinol Fence Sprayer it is essential to release the pressure by pulling out the pressure release valve until all the air has escaped. The Cuprinol Power Sprayer can be opened straight away. Both sprayers can then be simply flushed through with water until the water runs clear and stored for future use. Follow full instructions in user guide provided with the Cuprinol Fence Sprayer and Cuprinol Power Sprayer.

Always read the pack instructions carefully before use.
