Usage guide

Cuprinol Garden Furniture Restorer is a fast acting gel that restores the original colour of teak and other hardwood.

It is ideal for renovating weathered garden furniture before applying a protective finish such as Cuprinol Hardwood Garden Furniture Protector, Cuprinol Hardwood Garden Furniture Oil or Cuprinol Garden Furniture Teak Oil. Cuprinol Garden Furniture Restorer takes just 15 minutes to work and after use brushes simply wash out in water.

Where to use

For use on weathered hardwood garden furniture. Can also be used on other hardwood garden features such as planters, pergolas etc.

How much is needed

A 1L tub is normally sufficient for: 8m².

Preparing the surface

Remove excessive dirt and soiling with a stiff bristle brush.

How to apply

Stir well before use and apply Cuprinol Garden Furniture Restorer liberally with a paintbrush. The wood will start to lighten in colour. Work into surface of wood using a mild abrasive scrubbing pad. Leave to stand until no further lightening occurs, but for no more than 15 minutes. Wash off with plenty of water. Allow the furniture to dry thoroughly before use. Sand the wood to remove loose fibres and give a smooth base for finishing. To add colour and provide extra protection use Cuprinol Hardwood Garden Furniture Protector or Cuprinol Hardwood Garden Furniture Oil. Try a test area first to ensure satisfactory appearance and adhesion. If necessary carry out further preparation by sanding. Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C or if rain is likely before the job is complete. Do not allow Cuprinol Garden Furniture Restorer to come into contact with plants or grass.

Cleaning and storage

After use, remove as much material as possible from brushes before cleaning with clean water. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost. Clean up any spills while still wet. Reseal can after use.
