Usage guide

Cuprinol Garden Furniture Teak Oil offers a natural finish for teak and similar hardwoods. It protects and enhances the wood by replacing the natural oils lost through weathering helping to restore the appearance of old furniture and maintain the colour and appearance of new furniture. The aerosol provides convenience to get into grooves.

Where to use

Cuprinol Garden Furniture Teak Oil is ideal for use on hardwood garden furniture such as tables and chairs.

Preparing the job

Read the Health, Safety and Environmental Information below. Remove excessive dirt and soiling, large areas of algae, lichen, fungi or moss with a scraper or stiff brush. Treat the surface with a fungicidal wash or cleaner designed for the job. For grey and weathered garden furniture use
Cuprinol Garden Furniture Restorer to bring back the natural colour. Only suitable for use on bare or previously oiled garden furniture.

How to apply

New wood: Apply 1-2 light coats with a rag, allowing the first coat to penetrate before applying a second coat if necessary.

Weathered wood: Apply one coat of Cuprinol Garden Furniture Teak Oil liberally with a brush, wipe off surplus after 15 minutes and apply a second light coat with a rag. Although to dry thoroughly before use.

Drying time

24 hours. Drying times can vary depending on the nature of the surface and the weather conditions.

Cleaning and storage

Reseal container after use. Clean up any spills while still wet. After use remove as much product as possible from brushes before cleaning with white spirit. For best results use Polycell Brush Cleaner. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature. See precautions below for information on the safe disposal of application cloths.
