Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Treatment is a clear, natural matt finish that helps make decking safer especially when wet by improving slip-resistance.

It has a unique, double action formulation that works in two ways. Cuprinol Deck-Grip Microbead technology gives a non-abrasive, anti-slip finish, whilst powerful algicides help protect the film from the growth of green algae and mould. Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Treatment also provides a water repellent finish that seals and protects. It is ideal for use on decks that are partially shaded and in preparing decks for the winter months.

Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Treatment is suitable for use on all types of new or used bare and stained timber decking. Certain penetrating finishes such as Cuprinol Decking Oil, Cuprinol Decking Seal and Cuprinol Decking Protector will need to be weathered prior to the use of Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Treatment. If in doubt try a test are a first for appearance and adhesion or contact Cuprinol.

A 2.5 litre pack is normally sufficient for: 30m² with 1 coat. It is important that this coverage rate is achieved in order to provide the necessary anti-slip properties, do not brush out too thinly. More than one coat may be necessary in some cases. Absorbent wood, sawn wood and grooved decking will reduce coverage.

Stir well before and occasionally during use. Apply using a brush or roller. Apply at the recommended coverage rate but do not allow the Treatment to pool in grooves. Brush or roll out any accumulations on the surface of the decks. Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Treatment is white on application but dries to a clear matt finish. Do not apply if rain is likely before the treatment can dry, if the temperature is below 5°C or in conditions of high humidity or frost.

Touch dry in 2-6 hours in good drying conditions. Recoat when previous coat is fully dry. As with many waterbased coatings, some whitening of Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Treatment may occur if it gets wet soon after application. This whitening will disappear when the surface dries out.

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing out with water. Reseal container after use. Wash off any splashes with water while still wet. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.

WARNING, this is not a non-slip product. The anti-slip* properties will be reduced if decks become dirty, dusty or leaves and decaying vegetation are allowed to accumulate. Clean the treated decking periodically using Cuprinol Decking Cleaner to avoid any reduction in performance and depending on wear, re-treat with Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Treatment to maintain the anti-slip performance.
