Protecting hardwood furniture

Hardwood garden furniture is usually made from teak, mahogany, meranti or iroko.

The close grained, dense nature of the wood combined with natural resins gives it some weather resistance, however, hardwood still needs to be protected to increase the water repellancy and prevent the wood losing its original colour.

Cuprinol garden furniture oils penetrate into the wood and replace the natural oils lost through weathering. Use on new or newly restored furniture to keep the wood nourished and help protect it from cracking or splitting.
